All has to come to an end… on this final day we visited the little Town of Honfleur, before heading to Deauville. For the first time of the weekend the weather was a little disappointing. But I still want to share mit pics with you 🙂
We arrived in the little fishertown of Honfleur late in the afternoon. We just had the time to walk around, take a look to the small little harbour bordered with the tiny houses, and walk around in the narrow streets. We should have taken more time, Honfleur was lovely!
The church of Honfleur is for Sainte-Cathérine and very impressive, as it is built of wood that has been reused of naval contructions!
Honfleur has a very interesting architectural style. You’ll find brick houses and frame houses everywhere! The “carré des artistes”, the artist neighbourhood is very lovely 🙂
In the evening it was a little difficult to find a good spot to eat. We finally arrived in this small restaurant, the “Bistro des Artistes“. A very typical and funny restaurant, which seems to be THE insider restaurant of Honfleur! The food was extraordinary!
After a good night in a tiny B&B we even had a great sunrise above the roofs of Honfleur!
We continued our trip to Deauville. As the weather was very cold, rainy and windy we cut short our walk on the “Promenade des anglais”, and preferred to take a look to the fisher market of Trouville 🙂
So that’s it, you’ve seen all my pics 🙂 I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and that you’ll have the opportunity to see all this by yourself one day!
